About Niki

Niki Zaldivar graduated from Georgia College & State University in 2012 with a Bachelors in Theatre.

Niki is an accomplished theatre professional with experience both on and off stage. From Off-Broadway to local Atlanta stages, Niki has explored the depths of the performance industry and is ready to teach the next generation the art of expression.

As a Senior Capstone project, Niki embarked on the monumental task of writing and directing a show using lived experiences. This performance was developed as a form of theatrical therapy for the individuals contributing to the experience. Upon graduation, Niki began an internship at the prestigious Atlanta Theatre company, Actor's Express where she performed, stage managed, and developed a love of Public Relations and Marketing.

In the years that followed, Niki developed a career in the professional Theatre and Film industry, with a special interest in children's theatre. Niki has developed her skills for teaching children over the years from directing children's theatre to teaching English online during the pandemic.

As a mother of two, Niki has explored the principles of Montessori and applied those principles to the process of teaching theatre, and creating an organic exploration of expression. For Niki, theatre has shaped the potential of a flexible future. Theatre was the foundation for learning to problem solve and think on her feet. She started exploring theatre at the early age of 4, and the experience stuck with her for life. With a learning disability, theatre and Montessori have been pivotal to her growth and development, and it is her life's mission to help other find the same joy in self-discovery.

Theatre teaches public speaking, project development, collaboration and team work, ideation, creative expression, relationship development, cultural awareness, creativity, and so much more. The impact of theatre in early childhood can be lifelong.
